 “à la Coco”

Definition
A couture interior inspired by Coco Chanel’s timeless codes; black, white, beige, and gold; crisp tailoring; mirrored glamour; and jewelry-like accents. Think Parisian boiserie dressed with Art-Deco graphics and a whisper of Venetian glass: formal, theatrical, and made for entertaining.

Design Framework

  • Procession. A gallery corridor announces the Chanel palette, white paneled wainscot with black ‘trim’ over a french damask wallpaper; a curated paintings wall with gold carvings frames and a jewel-tone vintage chandelier add the feel of couture accessories.

  • Salon. Classical paneling ,crystal chandeliers, pearl art installations, necklace- like chain curtain box, and royal-blue seating floating over a harlequin floor are the “little black dress”.

  • Dining. Precise moldings with black piping echo jacket trim; a circular lacquer table and continuous diamond frieze stitch spaces together like a couture hem.

  • Powder room. Moody black damask, gilt mirrors with candle sconces, and slim brass console basins are the intimate, perfume-box moment.

  • Details. Mirrored elements nod to Rue Cambon’s staircase; antique gold hardware = jewelry; oval and circle motifs recall camellias; doors with black inlay and tailored edges keep the rooms sharply “cut.”

Concept
“à la Coco” reads like an old-money members’ club residence, filtered through Chanel’s atelier, boiserie bones, modern graphic stone, and luminous glass and gilt. A sequence of rooms tuned for evening gatherings: poised, charming, and unmistakably chic.
