“Stillness in Motion”
Essence
A double-height family salon shaped by a feature liquid metal sculptural stairs and zen green area. Curved lines gather people; The atmosphere is serene,warm, tactile, and eminently social. Natural light is ambient, fine-tuning the atmosphere of each moment of the day.
Architectural Idea
Scale is gentled by curvature. A sculptural stair, organizes movement and frames a planted court where an olive tree becomes the room’s vertical anchor. Wood Cladding walls conceal storage and rooms; a free-form mirror doubles greenery and light while softening the tall proportions. Seating is planned as an embracing island so conversation flows naturally between lounge and bar. Circulation edges the perimeter, preserving an uncluttered center and uninterrupted sightlines to the garden.
Material & Light Language
A restrained palette of brushed limestone, honed travertine, and oak wood, grounds the space with quiet richness. Liquid metal handrails introduce a subtle glow, echoed by smoked-glass mirrors. Light is mostly concealed. By day, tall sheers wash the room in diffused daylight; by evening, dimmable layered chandeliers shifts the mood from family calm to intimate gathering subtly without any visual noise.
DMA residence is an effortlessly warm, timeless, modern home with Sculpted light and interior gardens where everyday routines feel ceremonial and time is calm.
