“Timeless Edit”
Essence
A renovation that recasts an outdated classical interior into timeless modern. We kept the dignified proportions and axial order, then stripped away heavy ornament to reveal a calm, sculptural core, the Vortex: a black marquina marble fireplace main feature encircled by all spaces in the ground floor.
From molding to mass: classical trim gives way to monolithic marquina and calacatta marble, walnut planes, and black details, heritage translated into pure form.
Light as architecture: circular chandeliers and linear cuts of LED draw a luminous halo where heavy guilded chandeliers once decorated.
Tailored warmth: rounded seating islands replace Louis XV chairs and Rococo bergeres; textures move from glossy and tacky formality to tactile, livable luxury.
Sustainable restraint: structure and paneling are reinterpreted, reducing waste while elevating craft.
Architectural concept
Geometry as Host.
The plan choreographs movement with arcs and circles that repeat at multiple scales; ceiling, furniture, concentric layout, so circulation feels inevitable and gatherings naturally form around centers of gravity (a black marble fireplace). The project pairs monolithic elements with fine craft slat walls, inlays and tailored upholstery, to balance monumentality and intimacy. Composed as jewelry in rings and halos, light fine-tunes the atmosphere at each different moment of the day.”
The result is a residence that feels newly born yet enduring, formal enough to host, quiet enough to restore.
