Description

KIJS Architecture Offices concept embraces an industrial design language, defined by the exposed ceiling, visible structure, and stripped-back finishes. Concrete, steel, and matte surfaces are composed to create a space where form follows purpose with quiet intensity.

A key design move is the use of a monochromatic concrete finish throughout the interior. This muted base palette was conceived intentionally to allow the colorful, textured materials swatches, samples, and mockups, housed within the open library space where clients are received, to stand out in vivid contrast. The space itself becomes a neutral canvas, allowing the architecture of future projects to take center stage during creative discussions.

The identity of the studio is subtly embedded in the geometry of the space: every major spatial line, from floor to ceiling layout, follows a precise 45-degree angle, echoing the name of the studio. At its heart, a large communal drafting table anchors the layout, symbolizing collaboration. Textures are layered in controlled contrast: brushed black metal, concrete with white furniture.

The spatial flow is choreographed like a studio in motion. Circulation lines are clean, revealing the full footprint of the space. The lighting is industrial yet warm, most notably within the “materials library”, the heart of the office, where project samples, swatches in material boards and mockups, are showcased to clients. Here, the lighting is designed to highlight texture and detail without dramatization, supporting clear visual communication with clients.
